Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Cardcept LLC ("Cardcept", "we", "us"), a Wyoming limited liability company with its mailing address at 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #35759, Casper, WY 82609. They apply when you use cardcept.com and sell a card to us. Please read them before you submit a card. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who can use Cardcept
You must be at least 18 years old, live in the United States, and be able to enter a binding contract. You must not be on a U.S. government sanctions list. One person may hold one account.
2. What we buy
We buy unused prepaid gift cards, such as rebate cards and corporate incentive cards, with a balance between $50 and $500 per card.
We do not accept:
- debit cards, or cards that are registered to a name, address or personal account;
- cards bought with a credit or debit card, or with funds that are not yours;
- cards of unknown or undocumented origin, or cards that are stolen, lost, already used or already sold;
- cards from outside the programs and regions we support at the time.
We may ask for proof of where a card came from, such as a rebate confirmation, an employer letter or a purchase receipt.
3. How a sale works
- You enter the card details, its balance and where it came from.
- We show your offer. It is a flat percentage of the card balance and is locked when you submit.
- You create an account, give your contact details and choose where to be paid.
- We review the submission. We may ask for more information.
- We confirm the balance by using the card, then pay you. Our target is within 48 hours of your completed submission. This is a target, not a promise.
4. Our offer
The percentage shown when you submit is the percentage you will be paid on the confirmed balance. We may change the percentage for future submissions, but never for an offer already locked.
The rate is lower than 100% because turning a prepaid balance into cash costs money, including merchant, card network and processor fees, issuer fees and limits, our review, and the cost of paying you. We do not charge you separate fees on top of the rate.
If the real balance is lower than the balance you entered, we will adjust the offer to the real balance and email you before we pay. If the card is invalid, already used or not eligible, we will not pay for it.
5. We use your card before we pay you
To confirm the balance, we redeem the card and use its full balance before your payout is sent. This cannot be undone. Once we use the card, we cannot return it or its balance.
You confirm that you understand this each time you submit a card.
6. Payouts
- You can be paid by the methods shown at checkout, such as Bitcoin, USDT, USDC or a bank transfer. We may turn a method off at any time.
- Crypto transfers cannot be reversed. You are responsible for entering the correct address and choosing the correct network. If you enter a wrong address or network, the funds may be lost and we cannot recover or refund them.
- A wallet or bank account must belong to you, and a wallet or account can be linked to one customer only. A bank account holder must match the name on your contact details.
- Network fees and bank charges that are outside our control may apply.
7. Limits
Each card must be between $50 and $500. We also limit how much you can submit in a day, a week and a month, and new accounts have lower limits at first. You can see your own limits and how much you have used in your dashboard. We may change limits at any time.
8. Review, holds and declines
Every submission is reviewed before it is paid. We may decline, hold, cancel or delay a submission, or ask for more information, if we think it may be inaccurate, fraudulent, unlawful or against these terms. We may also report suspicious activity to the authorities and share information as the law allows or requires. We do not charge you for a declined submission, but we cannot return a card we have already used.
9. What you promise
When you submit a card, you promise that:
- you are the rightful owner of the card and you obtained it legitimately;
- the card is an unregistered prepaid gift card and not a debit card;
- everything you tell us is true, complete and can be verified;
- you are not acting for someone else or hiding where the card came from.
If any of this is untrue, we may cancel the transaction, withhold payment and report it to the relevant authorities.
10. Your account
Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we believe is being misused.
11. What you may not do
- Submit cards that are stolen, counterfeit, already used or bought with funds that are not yours.
- Use more than one account, or use a wallet or bank account that belongs to someone else.
- Try to get around our limits, checks or security, or interfere with the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or fraud.
12. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes that apply to money you receive from us.
13. No advice
Nothing on our site is financial, legal or tax advice, an offer of securities or an investment opportunity.
14. Service availability and our responsibility
We try to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the amount we owe you for that transaction. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15. Ending the service
You can stop using Cardcept at any time. We may stop or change the service, or end your access, at any time. Terms that are meant to continue, such as sections 5, 6, 9 and 14, will continue.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the site. A submission is covered by the terms in force when you submitted it.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you have a complaint, please email us at support@cardcept.com first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. If we cannot, any legal claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we agree to those courts.
