Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Cardcept LLC ("Cardcept", "we", "us") collects when you use cardcept.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: your email address and password. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and we do not see it in readable form.
- Contact details: your name, phone number and the country code of your phone.
- Payout details: the cryptocurrency wallet address or bank account details you ask us to pay.
- Card details: the card type, balance, card program, how you got the card, and either its redemption code or its number, expiry date and security code. We also keep any website link you give us for managing the card.
- Proof of origin: any image you upload to show where the card came from.
- Messages: anything you send to our support address or through our forms, including partner and waitlist forms.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages and actions that happen on our site.
- A record of each step of your submission (for example, when you accepted an offer or added a payout), and which of our staff changed the status of a submission.
- Information stored in your browser, such as your sign-in session and progress in the form. Card codes and numbers you type are kept only in the open browser tab until you finish, and are not saved in the long-term browser storage.
2. How we use it
- To review your submission, confirm the card balance, make your offer and pay you.
- To run your account, contact you about your submission and answer your questions.
- To prevent fraud, money laundering and misuse, enforce our limits, and keep a record of what happened.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and understand how the site is used.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising, using the analytics and advertising tags described below.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run Cardcept, under contracts that limit what they can do with it: hosting and database (Supabase, Vercel), email delivery (Resend), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and analytics and advertising measurement (Google).
- Authorities and others when we believe the law requires it, to respond to a valid request, or to detect, prevent or report fraud, money laundering or other unlawful activity.
- A successor if our business is merged with or sold to another company, with the same protection for your information.
4. How we protect it
- Card codes and card numbers are stored encrypted. Only authorized staff can view them, and each time a code is viewed it is recorded.
- Proof images are stored privately and are opened only by authorized staff.
- Data moves between your browser and our servers over an encrypted connection.
- Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it for their work.
No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is open and for five years after your last transaction, because we need records for fraud prevention, accounting and legal requirements. We keep card codes and numbers, stored encrypted, for as long as we need them to handle disputes, prevent fraud, support investigations and meet legal obligations. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of each card so the same card cannot be sold twice. We delete other information when it is no longer needed.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your progress. Our website uses Google tags to measure visits and the effect of our advertising, which may use cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may then not work.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can update your name and phone number in your dashboard. If you live in a state with a privacy law, such as California, you may have additional rights, including to know what we collect, to delete it and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
Some information we must keep because the law or our fraud-prevention duties require it, so we may not be able to delete everything on request. To make a request, email support@cardcept.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.
8. Children
Cardcept is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Where your information is processed
Our service is for people in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the site.
