What we do
Rebate cards, employer incentive cards and other prepaid cards often end up in a drawer. Balances get eaten by fees, cards expire, and the money is hard to spend where you need it. Cardcept buys the unused balance from you at a flat rate and pays you in USD or crypto.
Why a flat rate
You see your offer before you commit, and it is locked when you submit. It is a flat 65% of the card balance. It is not 100% because turning a prepaid balance into cash costs money: merchant and card network fees, issuer fees and limits, our review of each submission, and the cost of paying you. We don't add separate fees on top, and if the real balance is lower than you entered, we tell you and adjust the offer before we pay.
What we accept
- Unused prepaid gift cards, such as rebate cards and corporate incentive cards, from $50 to $500 each.
- Cards you obtained legitimately and can show the origin of.
We do not accept debit cards, registered cards, cards bought with credit, or cards of unknown origin. You can read the details in our Terms.
How we keep it safe
- Every submission is reviewed by our team before anything is paid.
- Limits apply per card and per day, week and month, and new accounts start lower.
- Card codes are stored encrypted and only authorized staff can view them, with each view recorded.
- One wallet belongs to one customer. A payout wallet can't be shared across accounts.
